The Madewood Plantation Home, located in Napoleonville, La, is home to a former antebellum sugar plantation. Designed in a Greek Revivalist style by Architect Henry Howard, this plantation home now houses a bed and breakfast. Located seventy five miles North of New Orleans, the Madewood is a perfect place to stay so that one could explore an area so richly steeped in the history of the Old South and that of French influence.
