This ornately designed Neo-Classical building with its Greek-influenced portico supported by the Ionic columnns was once home to the many businesses and banks. Built in 1925, after the 1924 tornado destroyed the entire structure aside from the decorative sandstone, the structure was the site of the Ameritrust Bank Building, Cleveland Trust Co., First Lorain Bank, and Key Bank. Today, although largely vacant, Bay Windows Cleaning and attorney’s offices reside in the beautifully constructed building.
