Mediterranean-style clubhouse built in 1933 and designed by architect Julia Morgan (Hearst Castle). The still-active and influential club was formed in 1925 by six women, including Grace Barneberg (Res. No. 40,) concerned with civic welfare and historic preservation, addressing improvements in a broad spectrum of social issues, including education, health, tourism and the arts.
