Resource No. 42, Italianate built in 1887 by downtown businessman Morris Goldtree and wife Helena. Goldtree brothers Morris, Nathan and Isaac were pioneer businessmen in S.L.O. (see Goldtree Block, Resource No. 58.) Home sold in 1898 to Patrick and Elizabeth McCaffrey, who built second story with four flats. In the McKeen family for 49 years before becoming Garden Street Inn in 1990.
