Marshall House
Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
Modest Neo-Colonial/Neo-Classical with Queen Anne detailing and roof lines, built in late 1890s for S.L.O. jeweler Manuel Marshall who lived here with his wife through the ‘teens. The design trend of this example of smaller homes around the turn of the century moved away from the irregular picturesque, dynamic and often ostentatious designs of the Victorian period.
