Stanly County History Center

This modern building is home to the Stanley County Museum which is operated by the public library in conjunction with the Stanly County Historical Society. The historical society maintains records for local historians and genealogists in this building which also serves as the headquarters of the organization. In addition to special exhibits that change throughout the year, the museum offers a permanent gallery that includes exhibits related to the history of Native peoples, early settlers of European descent, military history, education, and regional leaders and businesses.
