Edwin D. Moten Collection is one of the highlights of the museum. Moten was the only African American physician in the county at the turn-of-the century and his collection includes photos, diaries, and letters that allow a glimpse into the early Black community of Denton. The Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum also includes artifacts that belonged to Moten.
