Once home to physician and influential Jasper resident W.A. Bradley, this stately Victorian home now serves as the home of the Newton County Historical Society. The museum offers exhibits drawn from local artifacts and also includes a genealogical library.

The historical society was first established in 1953 and reorganized in 1977. In 1992, the organization acquired the Bradley house in 1992 thanks to the generosity of William Bradley's grandson Bill Stiritz. Visitors can also see the Chaney Log House which was moved to this location from a former stagecoach stop in Osage.
