Washington High School, founded in 1908, currently enrolls around 1000 students. The school is named after the first President of the United States of America, George Washington, whom the town is respectively named after as well. Its gymnasium is over 100 years old and still in use today. The school continues to remain one of the most highly enrolled schools in the area despite many schools being founded in the same area around the same time.

The original Washington High School building was replaced by the current structure in the early 1930s.
