Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
The Carbon County Museum has exhibits and archives related to the history of Rawlins and surrounding communities from the first Native inhabitants, to the era of cattle and sheep ranching and mining, to the oil boom and the recent history of people and institutions in this section of Wyoming. Some of the most popular exhibits look at the lives and legacies of pioneers and outlaws, while others such as the one-room schoolhouse show the intricacies of daily life for ordinary families.
