The museum was originally the 1897 residence of the R.P. and Clara Hanna family. The museum features fourteen rooms of contemporary history from the 1930s through to recent events. Exhibits include military history, oil boom, country schools, civic Memorabilia, medical items, sports, Fairfield schools, businesses, and more.

The house features local history exhibits from 1920s with special exhibits on military, civic events, Lion’s memoribilia, schools, Shelton gang, oil boom, sports, country stores, churches, gas pumps, and funeral home equipment. The Society also features local history from the 1800s through 1920. Features industry, Civil War, textiles, WW I and more.
