The Herbert S. Ford Memorial Museum is a museum of local history and culture housed in the former Claiborne Hotel. The museum claims to hold the oldest compressed bale of cotton in existence in the United States (1930) among dozens of other exhibits and artifacts. The hotel built in 1890 and houses a collection begun by Herbert S. Ford in 1918.

The museum works to preserve and interpret the history, culture, heritage and art of the North Louisiana Hill Country.
