Designed by Stanford White while working on the Columbian Exhibition in 1892. The home is Neo-Classical Italian Palazzo style, in orange roman brick and terra cotta. The 2nd owner, Cyrus Hall McCormick Jr. (son of the famous reaper inventor), engaged David Adler to add to the house in 1928 which destroyed its symmetry. It was used as a private school for many years, but is now townhouses and condos.
