The museum also has an ongoing research program. It focuses on its collections, preservation, exhibits as well as educational programming and initiatives to showcase the impact of agriculture on shaping our country and daily lives. Visitors can walk through the history of agriculture and see the technological and educational advances.
Some of the buildings include a farmhouse, Blacksmith and wheelwright shop, school house, general store, barbershop, church and train station. The museum’s long-term exhibits spotlight grain harvesting, evolution of the tractor and the poultry, produce and dairy industries. The museum also features several special events throughout the year.
Regional artists and artisans also regularly display their work at the museum. The Touch of History room allows kids to learn through hands-on experience. There is also an on-site gift shop.
