Elinor Colby became an accomplished pianist. Her interest in Claremont's history led her to write a booklet about Constance Fenimore Woolson's family during their time living in Claremont. (see Woolson House, tour stop #3)

Carroll Burleigh Colby, a graduate of Stevens High School, attended The School of Practical Arts in Boston with the intention of becoming a free-lance artist.
