Backstory and Context

On Campus, students have one to two Resident Assistance per floor and one Resident Director per building or group of buildings. These people are there to keep people safe and healthy. On rounds, Resident Assistants will check to make sure doors are not propped open, everyone in bathrooms is responsive, and that fire extinguishers are not dispersed or missing. These are all done in accordance with the Clery Act as all Campus Safety Authorities must do every night. Residence Life is also responsible for handling roommate problems, confiscations, and doing programming for their floor. People involved in Residence Life are mandated reporters and must report anything suspicious they see on campus that could cause people danger or harm. This is all done to ensure the safety of everyone on campus at all times. Schools must report any violent crimes in a crime report yearly that is published publicly in accordance with the Clery Act.
