Each year Lincoln, KS, honors its namesake President Abraham Lincoln. The annual event, which has grown over the years, celebrates all things Lincoln and explores Civil War history. Celebrated close to President Lincoln's birthday, visitors can attend lectures, view exhibits, take part in community meals, and watch historic reenactments. Most notably, Lincoln Day includes a Lincoln look-alike contest where participants from all over dress to portray the Great Emancipator.
