Just ahead we will be crossing over the Skykomish River on the Boulder Drop Bridge. If you look upstream from the bridge you can see a treacherous stretch of the river called Boulder Drop. Those of you who are kayakers or rafters are familiar with the grading system of River Difficulty. Class 1 is the easiest and safest whitewater rapids and Class 6 is the most difficult and most dangerous. Depending on the season and the volume of water flowing in the river, Boulder Drop can be a class five rapids.
