The Central Cemetery opened in 1874 and is the resting place of many of the biggest names in music. Some easily recognizable names include Beethoven, Brahams, and Falco. In addition to the graves and mausoleums, you can find the wildlife roaming the grounds. Deer, squirrels, and even hamsters call the Central Cemetery home. It isn't a guarantee you will see any, but maybe if you come early enough and stay quiet, you could catch a glimpse. While you can walk through the massive ~2 sq.km grounds, you are also allowed to jog or cycle to get a little exercise while you explore.

Be careful navigating to the cemetery and make sure you specifically put "Central Cemetery" into you navigation system. There are several cemeteries throughout Vienna, all with their own charm, but you definitely don't want to accidentally have to backtrack across this huge city. Public transit is very easy to access and navigate, with the nearest stop about a 10 minute walk from the entrance.
