This walking tour includes numerous landmarks and historic sites along 3rd and 4th Streets in the heart of downtown Grand Forks. The tour includes historic theaters, cultural sites, and businesses that spurred the growth of this community at the turn of the century. The tour concludes with the statue of Alexander Griggs, an early settler who arrived in 1875 and is considered to be the founder of the city. Be sure to check out some of the museums beyond the downtown area in addition to historical landmarks such as the former woolen mills.
