Text-to-speech Audio
Rice University Art Gallery is the university art museum dedicated to temporary, large-scale works of art that guests can enter and explore; it is the only museum in the country to offer this kind of experience. The gallery offers videos and other media to help guests who are interested in self-guided tours as well as attendants and art students who are happy to answer questions. Backstory and Context

The gallery is a relatively small room measuring 40 x 44 ft. One wall is entirely of glass which allows people walking by to view the art installation and watch the artist create it. The university does not accept proposals but invites artists instead. The work is temporary which gives the artist the freedom not to worry about creating something permanent that needs to be archivable or salable.
