Ira and Jessie Tuthill House - Mattituck Historical Society
Introduction
Text-to-speech Audio
The Ira and Jessie Tuthill House is comprised of two separate houses that were combined together. The larger western 1840s Ira Tuthill home typifies the average prosperous farm house of the north fork. Smaller in height, the Jessie Tuthill house on the eastern side is the older building, built in 1799. Currently the home of the Mattituck Historical Society, the building houses exhibits of items collected from the surrounding community.
