Completed in 2018, this county visitor center and museum was designed to welcome visitors near and far to explore the past and present culture of this rural county. The museum's permanent exhibit is centered along a timeline with exhibits and artifacts from pre-history to the end of the Baby Boom. Two special exhibit galleries rotate items from the collection twice a year thanks to the collections of the local historical society which dates back to the late 19th century.

Museum & Welcome Center of Fulton County, OH

Cloud, Sky, Window, Building

This multipurpose facility was constructed in 2018 thanks to the collaboration between the Fulton County Visitor Bureau and the Fulton County Historical Society with the support of the Ohio Department of Transportation and government officials in Fulton County. The historical society was established in 1883 and owns the museum, which includes exhibits drawn from their archival collection and local history artifacts. The lobby of the Welcome Center is a reproduction of the county's first Greek Revival courthouse, which was built in 1851. The center also includes a barn that houses the Spiess Research Center and 5000 square feet of museum exhibits. Designed both for residents and visitors, the center offers educational experiences and staff members are on hand to recommend places to visit throughout the county as well as places for dining, lodging, and shopping.
