Founded in 1998, The San Diego Archaeological Center is an archaeology museum and research institution in Escondido, California. It is the only local organization dedicated to the research, curation, and exhibition of archaeological artifacts of the San Diego region. The center is a leader in the curation of archaeological materials and its collections are made available to the public through its public programs such as workshops, tours, speakers, films, and classes; many of these programs are geared towards children. The collections are also available for further academic and professional research.
