Located on Main Street in Washington, Indiana, the Daviess County Museum is housed in an old Masonic temple built in 1868. The museum contains records dating back to the city's founding in 1816 and earlier. Its archives contains genealogical, church histories, family histories, plat maps, school annuals, and city directories. The museum also houses an exhibit, that can only seen with a guide, featuring the history of funeral practices.
