The Choctaw County Historical Museum features numerous artifacts, photographs and memorabilia related to the county's history. Items and buildings include old farming equipment and tools, a caboose, a Hunt oil rig, and a log cabin which was built with the logs of the county's first courthouse, and an old country store. The museum is located at the intersection of Melvin Road and Highway 17.
