What the Sixth Ward School or the now North Washington Extended Stay looks like today.

The Sixth Ward School was built in 1905. Today, the building is now The North Washington Extended Stay hotel. Back in the early 20th century, the school had two chimneys on the school's gable roof. When looking at the building today, neither of that exist. The school's last  class graduated in 1979.

The Sixth Ward School

The Sixth Ward School was built around 1905. It is now known as North Washington Extended Stay. Back then when the postcard was taken in the late 1910s the school is shown to have two chimney from the top of the roof, and the roof is considered to be a gable roof. When looking at the building today, none of that still exist. It was not even due to a fire, but just normal roofing problems so the owner decided to make it a flat roof. The last class that can be found is the Sixth Ward School class of ‘79.
