The Boca Raton Historical Society operates a local history museum in Boca Raton's historic Town Hall building. The museum offers a variety of permanent and rotating exhibits as well as an archive and active lecture series. The Society also offers a variety of history tours that allow residents and tourists to experience a behind-the-scenes view and historic perspective of the city and its major landmarks. The Trolley Tours and tours of the Boca Express Train Museum and the iconic Boca Raton Resort are among the most popular.

This local history museum offers a variety of exhibits that change throughout the year thanks to their growing collection of local artifacts. The museum also offers resources for genealogists and researchers. The museum's archive is a repository of historical newspapers as well as maps and photographs from area families and organizations. Permanent exhibits related to the history of Boca Raton can be found alongside special exhibits in the museum gallery.  

In addition to operating this museum, the Boca Raton Historical Society also offers special walking tours and other educational programs. The Society also preserves and operates the FEC train depot as a railroad museum complete with several Seaboard Air Line rail cars, a steam engine from the 1930s, and a caboose from the Atlantic Coast Line.
