The building at 317 E. Main Street is of the two-part commercial building style and constructed from red bricks. The building at 317 was built in 1910 and was originally home to the Surprise Store, a confectionery, and Jarman's Printing on the second floor. Later, it was home to Heggy's and then Alliance Antiques. It is now empty, but a mural of "Camelot" is painted on the west exterior overlooking the neighboring pocket park. The Wallace Building at 321 E. Main Street is now occupied by the Crystal Inn. It is a two-part commercial building and Italianate in style, made with red rock faced brick with stone accent work.The original occupant was a grocery store owned by Alva D. Wallace.
