In 1912, when John Bertschinger purchased
the Eames’ house and drug store which was located
across the street, Dr. Eames moved his drug store
fixtures and merchandise into this building until he sold
the building to George Colomb in 1917.
The post office was housed here in Colomb’s home for a time.
Other owners throughout the years were Meyer, Oscar Kohlmann, Lee
Adams, Helen Olson, Brown, Smits, Cheryl Crowe, and
Fitzgerald. In addition to living quarters, businesses
have included a meat market, beauty shop operated by
Eldon Robertoy, a restaurant, gift shops and bakery.
Today it is a gallery.
